They come from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, the Ukraine, Ethiopia, and elsewhere. The refugees are Jewish and flood into the one country opening its doors to them--Eretz Yisrael. Once there, they must learn Hebrew, secure employment, and locate rental housing. With thousands arriving, finding an affordable home (or any home) for lease is almost impossible. .Against this backdrop, the immigrant stories take a turn for the better...
