It's a little-known fact, but Israel offers no widespread rentals, much less affordable ones. The average urban Israeli apartment costs $200,000 (in shekels), while the average salary is about $18,000/year. What's a refugee, newly-arrived, fleeing life-threatening anti-Semitism, to do?

Operation Restoration purchases old properties at a discount, then simply rebuilds them. They are rented at below-market rates only to needy new olim.

Our tenants are elderly folks without family members to turn to. They are young families or single parents. Many have no contacts or friends, desperate for a small flat. They cry and share their story with us. Can we help? With your participation, we'll be able to say, "Yes."
